Minister Aquita Clark | Visionary Leader, Healing Advocate, Gospel Messenger, Proud Matriarch

Minister Aquita Clark is a force of light, love, and transformation. As the owner and cofounder of The HUSH House Foundation, she leads with fierce compassion and unshakable faith, serving women and families impacted by domestic violence and trauma across New Jersey. Her life is a living testimony of God’s grace—rising from cycles of abuse, homelessness, breast cancer, and even a stroke, Aquita has emerged not only as a survivor, but as a visionary healer, advocate, and messenger of hope.

A licensed minister of the Gospel, Minister Clark blends her faith and lived experience to offer others what she herself fought hard to find: safety, dignity, and healing. She is the author of the powerful “12-Step Purple Book,” a faith-rooted, trauma-informed curriculum designed to help survivors reclaim their voice, their value, and their victory.

Through HUSH House, Minister Clark provides emergency housing, wraparound services, empowerment programs, and spiritual guidance to those who need it most. Together with her best-friend and cofounder Kyna Felder-Ruiz, she fulfills the sacred mission of the Foundation: Haven Until She Heals a promise and a place where broken hearts are mended, and purpose is reborn.

Known for her fire-filled preaching, tender heart, and relentless advocacy, Minister Clark is not only a community leader, she’s a spiritual midwife helping women birth new beginnings. Whether she’s speaking from a pulpit, mentoring a young mother, or sitting quietly beside someone in crisis, she brings wisdom, warmth, and the unwavering belief that healing is always possible.

A living witness to restoration, Minister Clark is now joyfully remarried the love of her life and most faith-filled union to her husband, Jamar Clark. Their marriage is a testament to God’s power to restore what was once broken and bring beauty from ashes.

Together, they are the proud parents of a beautifully blended family of seven children, three from Aquita and four from Jamar and each a unique blessing and living reflection of God’s grace. Minister Clark is also a joyful grandmother to her cherished granddaughter, Janiyah Sanai—affectionately known as Tootie, who brings light and laughter into every room she enters.

Bold, anointed, and rooted in purpose, Minister Aquita Clark is on a mission to turn suffering into strength for herself, for her family, for her community, and for generations to come.
